Dr. Eva Muñoz is Senior Scientist at the company AFFINImeter, Spain, where she is involved in the processes of software development and validation, scientific & technical support and biophysical assay services.

Eva received her Ph.D in Organic Chemistry and Chemical Biology from the Spanish Council for Scientific Research (CSIC), Spain, in 2003. Then, she performed postdoctoral studies in the Center for Biotechnology & Interdisciplinary Studies of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, NY, USA, during 2003-2005 and in the Institute of Chemistry of the University of Lübeck, Germany, in 2006. After this period Eva returned to Spain where she worked as Research Scientist at the center for Molecular Interactions of Madrid Scientific Park in 2007, and at the Center for Research in Biological Chemistry and Molecular Materials (CIQUS) of the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain, during 2008-2013. In 2014 she joined the AFFINImeter team.

Her specialty is in the area of molecular recognition, focused on the design and development of new drug candidates. For this purpose Eva has extensive experience in biophysical techniques such as Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR), Isothermal Titration Calorimetry (ITC) and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR). She has co-authored over 30 peer-review articles, and several book chapters on topics related to biomolecular interactions.
